BIO

Adam Forrester is a filmmaker, writer, and artist making work about bizarre myths and mumbled truths. His work has been screened and exhibited nationally and internationally, most notably at the Historic Center of Kalamata in Greece, Bunkier Gallery of Contemporary Art in Poland, Weinberg/Newton Gallery in Chicago, Soap Factory in Minneapolis, Stove Works in Chattanooga, and as part of the 2021 Atlanta Biennial at Atlanta Contemporary. Forrester’s work has been featured by NPR, The Bitter Southerner, ArtsATL and VICE Magazine.

His film and television work has won an Emmy, been distributed via PBS across the US, and screened at DOC NYC, IFF Boston, ATL Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, indie grits, Sheffield Doc/Fest and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Forrester’s writing has been published in Drain Magazine, The Airgonaut, The Baltimore Review, and elsewhere.

He is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, where, from time to time, he reminisces about the moment when jelly shoes and reebok pumps were popular. He still considers it a bit odd to write about himself in third person.
